Dean Herman has advised on and litigated complex insurance coverage issues for thirty years, and has obtained published appellate opinions in his practice areas. Dean has served as coverage or supervisory counsel in a wide variety of matters arising out of most kinds of insurance policies and a myriad of insured risks, was lead coverage and supervisory counsel for one of the largest bar association professional liability insurance programs in the country, and is presently National Coordinating counsel on all TSCA/Blast Fax Litigation for a major insurer. Dean defends and advises attorneys, accountants, insurance agents and brokers, architects and engineers, real estate agents and brokers, directors and officers, employers and their insurers, on liability and insurance coverage issues. Dean's experience also includes sophisticated business and commercial litigation in State and Federal trial and appellate Courts on issues relating to torts, contracts, business organizations, real property, intellectual property, partnership rights, disputes among principals of all forms of business entities, employment related issues, film financing, and securities laws, as well as liability and coverage matters for insurers, real estate developers, financial institutions, directors and officers of corporations and similar business associations and other professionals.  Dean has also served as an expert witness and consultant in areas of his specialization, speaks at seminars and other educational events on developing legal issues, and acts as a mediator in complex insurance coverage and other disputes.
