Mr. Minett joined Mendes & Mount, LLP, as a contract partner in June 2007. Previously, John was a Vice President at Swiss Reinsurance America Corp, where he was a D&O, Financial Institutions ("FI"), Fiduciary-ERISA and Professional Liability claims and underwriting support specialist. John's in-house insurance and legal experience prior thereto includes five years with Hartford Financial Products as an AVP responsible for handling D&O, FI and Fiduciary claims, two years at AIG as a Director of Complex D&O Claims, and two years in the Pfizer Corporate Legal Division while attending law school. After graduating Fordham University School of Law in 1990, John practiced law in New York for over seven years, where he specialized in insurance law and litigation.

John is a frequent speaker and published author on D&O, FI, Fiduciary and general Professional Liability claims topics, a member of the PLUS and DRI, where he serve on several subcommittees of the DRI Commercial Litigation Committee.
